Why does my puppy like the taste of hand lotion and fabric sheets. She licks anything that has perfume?

Don't let her lick fabric sheets.. Dogs lick stuff.. It's up to you to keep poisons and other dangerous things out of their reach.

You are supposed to supervise puppies, so there is no way a puppy could get into lotion, or fabric sheets, or anything else that could cause her harm. That is what house training is. You are supposed to practice ';no barking'; ';no biting'; ';no jumping'; ';no eating furniture'; ';no getting into trouble.'; You are supposed to supervise her so she doesn't get into wires or anything harmful to her. If she is licking these things, it is your responsibility to correct that, so she doesn't get sick. sternly say no and give her a little tap on her mouth.


not hard enough for it to hurt, but just like a soft tap you give someone to get thier attention.

i would not recomend letting your puppy lick stuff with perfume on it because that is like a poison to her, but hand lotions and fabric sheets are fine. My dogs lick my sheets all the time and whenever i put lotion on they lick it.
Ever heard of puppy proofing? She shouldn't have access to those kind of things. Her life depends on you to keep her safe. Just make sure she can't get to those things and it will all be good :)
